Delete your Cutting account
Cutting uses anonymous Firebase Authentication. You can delete your account and associated server data from the app, or request deletion by email if the app is no longer installed. Automated Moment and ritual expiry (TTL) is not a substitute for account deletion.
1. Delete in the app (preferred)
If you still have Cutting installed, delete from inside the app for an immediate, clean result (server data and this device’s local app data):
- Open Cutting
- Go to Settings
- Open Profile (person icon)
- Tap Delete account and confirm
After deletion, the app returns you to onboarding as a new anonymous user.
2. Request by email (app uninstalled)
If you cannot open the app, email support@redoxsoft.com with the details below. Requests are processed manually; allow up to 7 days.
Subject (exact):
Cutting Account Deletion Request
Body must include:
- User ID — copy from Settings → Profile → User ID before uninstalling when possible
- Last used display name
- Name of one group you were still a member of
We use these fields to verify the request against our records before deleting server data.
3. What is deleted
- Your Firebase Authentication anonymous user
- Your profile document (including display name)
- Your group memberships (you are removed from groups)
- Device / push notification tokens registered for your account
- Moments you uploaded (Firestore metadata and associated Cloudflare R2 image objects), when still present
4. What may remain
Content that was part of a shared group experience (for example ritual records hosted by others, or responses tied to a break) may remain in group history until existing retention / TTL rules expire. Those records are not kept as your account profile.
5. TTL is not enough
Cutting uses short retention windows for Moments and break documents. Waiting for automated expiry does not delete your anonymous account identity. Use in-app deletion or the email path above to request account deletion on demand.
6. Local device data
A web or email deletion request can remove data on our servers, but it cannot reach an installed copy of the app to clear on-device caches. Prefer in-app deletion when the app is still installed. If you already uninstalled the app, reinstalling later starts a new anonymous session.
