What Cutting does

Cutting helps small private groups coordinate immediate real-world breaks. It is not a chat app, event planner, social network, or scheduling tool. See section 1.

Anonymous account and display name

You sign in anonymously through Firebase. You choose a display name so group members can identify you on breaks. See section 13.

Visible to your groups

Your display name, break activity, In/Out responses, and location text you enter are visible to other members of groups you join. See section 13.

Service provided as-is

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. Your use of the App is at your own risk. See section 10.

Acceptable use

You must use Cutting lawfully and must not abuse, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or other users. See section 5.

1. Introduction

Cutting (package name com.redoxsoft.cutting) is a mobile application that helps private groups coordinate spontaneous breaks in real time. Groups are joined via invite links or codes. Breaks show who is In or Out, a free-text location, and timing — with no chat or scheduling features.

The App uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Cloud Functions) to sync group and break data between members.

2. Agreement to our legal terms

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Redoxsoft ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Cutting, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the App and must discontinue use immediately.

We may update these terms from time to time by revising the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

3. Intellectual property rights

Our intellectual property

We own or license all intellectual property rights in Cutting, including source code, design, branding, and trademarks. The App and its content are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Your license

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cutting for your personal, non-commercial use.

Your content

You retain responsibility for the display name and location text you provide. We do not claim ownership over names or labels you choose, but you grant us the rights needed to operate the App (for example, storing and showing your display name to group members).

Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, you agree we may use it without restriction or compensation to you.

4. User representations

By using Cutting, you represent and warrant that:

You have the legal capacity to agree to these terms
You are not prohibited from using the App under applicable law
Your display name does not impersonate another person or mislead group members
You will not use the App for illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
You will not access the App through automated means except as we expressly allow

5. Prohibited activities

You may not use Cutting to:

Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm another person
Scrape, mine, or systematically retrieve data from the App or Firebase backend
Interfere with security features, notifications, or break coordination
Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other accounts
Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the App's software except as permitted by law
Use the App to compete with us or build a derivative service
Violate any applicable law or regulation

6. Service management

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor use of the App, investigate violations, and restrict or terminate access when we believe it is necessary to protect the service, our rights, or other users.

7. Term and termination

These terms remain in effect while you use Cutting. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these terms.

You may leave a group from Settings when you belong to more than one group. Cutting does not currently provide an in-app account deletion feature.

8. Modifications and interruptions

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause downtime. We are not liable for inconvenience caused by inability to access the App during such periods.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. You irrevocably consent that the courts in Hyderabad, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve disputes arising from these terms.

10. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Cutting coordinates breaks between group members. We do not organize, supervise, or guarantee real-world meetups. You are solely responsible for your safety and conduct when meeting others.

11. Limitations of liability

IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US FOR THE APP DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the App, your breach of these terms, your display name or content you provide, or your violation of any third party's rights.

13. User data

Cutting stores data in Google Firebase and locally on your device so the service can function. This includes your anonymous account ID, display name, group memberships, break activity, In/Out responses, location text, and device push tokens.

Information you provide is visible to other members of groups you join. You are responsible for the display name and location text you enter.

We do not guarantee backup of your data. Data loss may occur due to technical issues, device changes, or account limitations. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, OR FOR ANY OUTCOMES OF REAL-WORLD MEETUPS COORDINATED THROUGH THE APP.

14. Invite links

Groups can be joined using invite links in the form https://cutting.redoxsoft.com/join/{inviteCode} or equivalent codes shared within the App. When you join a group, your display name and break activity become visible to existing members of that group. Only share invite links with people you intend to include in the group.

15. Electronic communications

Using the App and contacting us by email constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and agree that electronic agreements and notices satisfy legal writing requirements where applicable.

16. Miscellaneous

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. No joint venture, partnership, or employment relationship is created by these terms.
