1. Introduction
Cutting (package name com.redoxsoft.cutting) is a mobile
application that helps private groups coordinate spontaneous breaks in real
time. Groups are joined via invite links or codes. Breaks show who is In or
Out, a free-text location, and timing.
Cutting is designed as a productivity / lifestyle coordination tool. It is not a chat or messaging product, public social network, content discovery feed, or dating service. Optional Moments photos are limited to members of the same private group for a short window around a break.
The App uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Cloud Functions) and Cloudflare R2 (for Moment image storage) to sync group and break data between members. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
2. Agreement to our legal terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Redoxsoft ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Cutting, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy.
User-generated content: Before you upload a Moment or otherwise contribute content that other users can see, you must accept these Terms. Creating or uploading Moments constitutes your agreement to the community standards and moderation rules in sections 6–8.
If you do not agree, you must not use the App and must discontinue use immediately.
We may update these terms from time to time by revising the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Cutting. The App is not directed to children under 13. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Intellectual property rights
Our intellectual property
We own or license all intellectual property rights in Cutting, including source code, design, branding, and trademarks. The App and its content are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
Your license
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cutting for your personal, non-commercial use.
Your content
You retain ownership of the display name, location text, and Moments photos you provide. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, and otherwise process that content solely as needed to operate and secure the App (including showing Moments to eligible group members and handling reports).
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload any Moment, and that your content does not infringe others' rights.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you agree we may use it without restriction or compensation to you.
5. User representations
By using Cutting, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to agree to these terms
- You meet the age requirement in section 3
- You are not prohibited from using the App under applicable law
- Your display name does not impersonate another person or mislead group members
- You will not use the App for illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
- You will not access the App through automated means except as we expressly allow
- Any Moment you upload complies with section 7 and does not depict anyone who cannot lawfully consent to being photographed in that context
6. Moments and user-generated content
Cutting may allow limited user-generated content ("UGC") in the form of Moments — optional photos associated with a break. This section explains how photo sharing works, what you may share, and the controls available to keep private break groups useful and respectful. Moments do not make Cutting a social networking product.
Scope of Moments
- Visible only to members of the same private group for that break
- Not a public feed, profile gallery, messaging thread, or discovery surface
- One photo per participant per break
- Upload allowed only while the short meeting window is open (about 30 minutes from break start) and only if you are In (hosts count as In)
- Server-side image retention is short (about 2 hours from break start); local device caches may last longer with recent-break history
Built-in limits that reduce abuse
- Private invite-only groups (no public discovery of people or photos)
- Participant eligibility checks before upload
- Compressed square WebP with a small maximum file size
- No comments, likes, reactions, captions threads, or chat attached to Moments
- No permanent cloud albums
These limits reduce opportunities for abuse before posting, while the report, remove, recall, and local hide controls below help participants respond if a Moment is inappropriate after it appears.
7. Community standards (objectionable content)
You agree not to upload, share, or use Cutting to distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or otherwise objectionable. Objectionable content includes, without limitation:
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors
- Pornography, sexual exploitation, or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Content that threatens, harasses, bullies, or targets a person for abuse
- Hate speech, violent extremism, or content that promotes real-world violence
- Graphic violence or gore intended to shock or harm
- Scams, phishing, malware, or attempts to steal credentials or personal data
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights
- Impersonation or deceptive misrepresentation of identity
- Illegal activity or content that facilitates illegal activity
- Spam or bulk irrelevant content unrelated to coordinating a break
Cutting must not be used primarily for pornographic content, anonymous random chat, objectification of people, or bullying. We may remove content and restrict accounts that violate these standards.
8. Reporting and moderation workflow
We provide in-app tools and a documented review process so users can report objectionable Moments and so we can take action when a break group needs help. These tools are part of keeping Cutting useful for real-world coordination, not for public content sharing.
In-app tools
- Report photo: available on another participant's Moment in the carousel during the meeting window. Reporting removes the photo from active display and creates a metadata-only report record for our review.
- Remove photo: lets a current participant remove another participant's Moment from the group without filing a formal report.
- Recall photo: lets you delete your own Moment during the meeting window.
- Hide member (local block): hides that member's Moments on your device only. This is the in-app block control for Moments in a private group context.
How to report outside the App
Email info@redoxsoft.com with the subject "Cutting safety report". Include the group name, approximate time of the break, and a description of the issue. Do not email illegal images of minors; contact local law enforcement for emergencies.
Our review process
- In-app Report immediately marks the Moment removed for the group and stores report metadata (no image bytes in the report record).
- We review safety reports and aim to respond or take further action within 24 hours where practicable.
- Actions may include confirming removal, removing related content, warning users, restricting Moments features, suspending or terminating access, and cooperating with lawful requests from authorities.
- We may also act on content we discover ourselves or that is flagged by infrastructure providers, even without a user report.
Ongoing moderation
Moderation is ongoing for as long as Moments are offered. Because Moments are short-lived and limited to private invite-only groups, our primary controls are eligibility gates, in-app report/remove/hide, rapid removal on report, and human review of report metadata. We do not operate a public content feed that requires continuous public-feed scanning.

15. Limitations of liability
IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

17. User data
Cutting stores data in Google Firebase, Cloudflare R2 (for Moment images), and locally on your device so the service can function. This includes your anonymous account ID, display name, group memberships, break activity, In/Out responses, location text, Moments metadata and image files, report metadata, and device push tokens.
Information you provide is visible to other members of groups you join. You are responsible for the display name, location text, and Moments you upload.
We do not guarantee backup of your data. Data loss may occur due to technical issues, device changes, TTL expiry, or account limitations. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, OR FOR ANY OUTCOMES OF REAL-WORLD MEETUPS COORDINATED THROUGH THE APP.
18. Invite links
Groups can be joined using invite links in the form
https://cutting.redoxsoft.com/join/{inviteCode} or equivalent
codes shared within the App. When you join a group, your display name, break
activity, and any Moments you share in that group become visible to existing
members. Only share invite links with people you intend to include in the group.
19. Electronic communications
Using the App and contacting us by email constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and agree that electronic agreements and notices satisfy legal writing requirements where applicable.
